Pan-Pot
Origin: Germany
Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix form the Berlin DJ- and producer duo Pan-Pot. The two met at Berlin’s SAE Institute in 2003, where they studied audio engineering. While studying, they started making music and developed the sound that Pan-Pot became known for. Their style is best described as underground oriented (Berlin) techno, yet independent from the existing genres with contemporary sounds. They experiment by merging techno with house. They became popular after the release of their debut album ‘Pan-O-Rama’ in 2007 on Anja Schneider’s label Mobilee. And the tracks ‘Charly’ and ‘Captain My Captain’ became big hits.
